Dr Hitchen Pulls Out of Stoke Central By-Election Selection

A & E doctor Stephen Hitchen has pulled out of the race to become the Labour Party candidate to succeed Tristram Hunt in the upcoming by-election in Stoke-on-Trent Central.

There were rumours circulating last night over this issue.

He has posted the following statement:

There are now three local candidates – Cllr Gareth Snell, Trudie McGuiness and Cllr Allison Gardner who will all go before Stoke-on-Trent Central CLP tonight.

I wish them all well.
