I am centrist in my political views. I’m a company Director, a Sports Broadcaster, an avid reader, a cook, a wine drinker, a husband and a father – you choose the order. This site is for me, my words and my thoughts on any topic I choose.

More About Me
It seemed I was always destined to be a Radio Presenter.
My first live gig was at the age of 15, by the time I was 20 I had presented
my first radio show.
Sojourns into Sports Presenting followed. I reported and commentated on
Football both on radio and video. I had the enormous pleasure on commentating on two Wembley finals. I have also interviewed numerous high profile players and managers.
I was talked into coming out of radio retirement to head up sport on a local
commercial station in 2008.
During this period the I managed to talk the station management into giving me a late night slot where I exploited my love for Smooth Jazz and mellow soul. The show proved to be a great success and Smooth&Soulful was born.
I also created and co-owned with Mike Rawlins, the nationally recognised political blog Pits’n’Pots
Pits’n’Pots was a great gig and we had a ball! We never edited interviews and got to scrutinise local and national politicians. We interviewed right across the political spectrum including Cabinet Ministers and politicians and activists from far left to the far right.
Pits n Pots became one of the best known political sites in the UK, being cited by main stream media in the UK & across Europe and was mentioned in Hansard on a number of occasions. Me & Mike regularly spoke about Pits’n’Pots and how it has helped change the face of local politics in the UK at conferences. I have appeared on BBC Breakfast, been interviewed for the French National broadcaster and many other media outlets.
I still do radio. I can currently be heard, along with my co-presenter Ian Corbishley (the best sports broadcaster I have ever worked with – trust me, there have been a few!) on The Hitmix 107.5fm between 2-6pm every Saturday.
We have a great sports team and we get out and report live on our local non-league teams Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Leek Town – as often as we can.
